RedTop's young life started during fall of 1997. The Internet started to catch on in those days and his creator had just lost his Cyberspace virginity. Just like all Internet users, Red's creator had to find a name for his alter ego. He decided to use his red hair as an inspiration.

Like most infants RedTop was not very active during the first years of his life. He made a couple of appearances on ICQ and in some Multi User Dungeons. These appearances were short-lived and nothing more than careful first steps. It was not until the arrival of broadband Internet that RedTop started to explore his virtual horizon. The first big trip through Cyberspace was called Quake2. Although RedTop was a couple of years late and the heydays of Quake2 were over, he loved every minute of it. It didn't matter to him that he got his ass kicked every time. Instead he took notice of game player etiquette and the tactics used by the big boys. However, after a while RedTop started to feel an itch. He knew he would never catch up with the guys that had been walking these battlefields for years. Although Quake2 had taught him a lot he wanted to find a challenge where he could grow as a game player, facing players with similar skills as him. RedTop left and went in search of new adventures.

RedTop didn't have to look far. At a virtual beach a battle was unfolding unlike Cyberspace had ever seen before. Teams of game players battled with each other for secret documents hidden in a fortress. RedTop was drawn to the companionship and brotherhood found on that beach and decided to join the battle. It was on this battlefield that RedTop became close friends with Artcore, one of his Cyberspace buddies. They decided to form a team of their own and named it Repetitive Frag Injury. Other people soon took notice and joined this new team.

After a while the battle spread to other virtual areas and RedTop led his team to follow the fighting. Unfortunately the team went into hibernation after winning the 2nd division of the Clanbase Open Spring Cup of '04. RedTop is still clanleader of RFI in hibernation, waiting for the day when a new challenge comes along.

Being part of a community of game players made RedTop venture out even further. He is now known on MSN, ICQ, AIM, Yahoo and IRC. He even takes part in the construction and expansion of Cyberspace by building webpages and setting up game servers. After RFI went inactive RedTop shifted his focus from gameplaying to webdevelopment and networking. Figuring out what it takes to host a server which has decent uptime, performance, features and security is a challenge RedTop couldn't resist... until something else comes along (half-Life2 perhaps?). He is an active guy, so who knows... maybe you'll meet him someday.
